This handmade, traditionally hand forged katana, is made of folded steel. The folding process removes impurities from the steel, leaving only the finest quality steel without weak spots. It’s hammered and heated and hammered and heated until the perfect blade is formed, then quenched for the perfect hardness before finally receiving a temper to knock back any chance of becoming brittle. The wooden handle is wrapped in genuine Stingray skin (Samekawa) before the traditional handle wrapping (Tsukamaki) in blue cotton.

The sword includes a wire brushed hamon adding an extra touch of authenticity without adding massive extra costs. This katana also comes with a soft cotton sword bag, a valuable addition to the collectors kit!
