Each sword features an 18-1/4-inch, black stainless steel blade with a Japanese inscription on it. The handles are wrapped in black nylon cord, offering a secure grip. Each sword has half a hilt and half a handle that can be combined into one sword with two blades. A black nylon shoulder strap keeps both swords together until it’s time to draw them out.
